Issue Position

Sometimes it's just frustrating to drive the roads in Chesterfield. Our roads are becoming more and more clogged, and not just during rush hours, but on weekends and evenings, and there is no reason why we should be sitting at traffic lights that cycle through three and four times before it's our turn to pass through.

Now I was pleased to see Chesterfield County recently announce its Streamline 360/288 Improvements plan. These are nine projects that will mean safer and faster travel on 288 and Hull Street Road. This is the kind of thing that I'm happy to see, but we must do more. We must be addressing tomorrow's transportation issues today, and that will take some forward thinking in the General Assembly.
